Overview

Fuji has released a pretty slick looking rashguard for all you fish lovers out there. It's called the Sakana. Featuring a stylish black and white design, the Sakana may be tame in color, but still remains flashy. Read on Gear Junkies!

The Fit

I'm currently 5'7" and about 170lbs. I always order rashguards in medium size because I perfer them to fit tight to my skin. I just really dislike the feeling of rolling with something that fits like a loose t-shirt under my gi, but hey if that's your thing just order a larger size.

The length of the body seemed to fit my frame well, and I had little to no "ride-up issues". I'm always very aware of this because it's probably my single biggest complaint with the sizing on some other rashguards. The body length on a rashguard should be long enough so that you can tuck it into your gi or shorts and it doesn't pop out and bunch up around your neck.

The length of the sleeves were a bit long on me, but this is always a hard one for me to judge because I have really, really short arms and just about everything is long on me in that area. I would say I probably had a good inch or two worth of extra sleeve bunched up at my wrists. Just try and keep this in mind when ordering a size for yourself. I'm happy to report though that I experienced no unfomfortable issues with the fit of this rashguard. The seams were placed well and did not dig into my skin anywhere.

Durability

The durability of the Fuji Sakana rashguard feels good in hand when you're first looking it over. I made sure to recheck all of the seams to see how they held up after several washes and rolls, and all looks as it should.

Althought the material feels a bit thin to me compaired to other rashguards I think the material that Fuji decided to use on the Sakana rashguard helps it stand up to wear and tear and occasional run-ins with velcro. I would love to see more rashguards move away from using the delicate silky stuff.

The Cool Factor

Design, design, design! The fact that they can make a huge ass fish look cool enough for grown men and women to wear is without a doubt the cool factor for me.
